In 1994, one of the largest and most well-known aquatic facilities in the country - the Justus Aquatic Center - became a part of the Central Florida YMCA. In addition to the change in name, a partnership was formed with Florida Hospital, which allowed the aquatic center to become a full-service wellness center.

With nationally competitive teams in all aquatic disciplines the Aquatic Center has been the training site for many of our country's Olympic athletes. Our competitive programs are joined by cutting edge fitness and wellness programs like: spinning, kick-boxing, racquetball and more.

The YMCA Aquatic Center is more than just a pool. In fact we have three heated indoor pools, totaling more than 1 million gallons of water. That is still not all. We have a full state-of-the-art wellness center which offers the newest weight machines, a full cardio-theater as well as a 1200 sq.ft. free weight area. Our facility also offers indoor four wall racquetball courts, spinning, aerobics-both land and water, child watch, a golf center and much more.

See what the YMCA Aquatic and Family Center has to offer. Come by and tour the facility. Our membership services staff is waiting to show you around.

    ProgramsDescription
AquaticsYMCA of Central Florida offers progressive swimming opportunities for youth and adults. In YMCA aquatics programs, children learn to be safe around water and they feel the sense of accomplishment that comes with learning something new. The Central Florida YMCA aquatics programs include drowning prevention, infant-parent classes, preschool classes, classes for people with disabilities and classes for teens and adults. These include water exercise and therapy and water sports, including synchronized swimming and master competitive swimming for people 18 and over. Competitive programs are also available for youth.

    Note:
Aquatic Programs differ at each YMCA Family Center, so contact your local YMCA for more information on which aquatic programs are available.
