| Programs | Description |
| Aquatics | YMCA of Central Florida offers progressive swimming opportunities for youth and adults. In YMCA aquatics programs, children learn to be safe around water and they feel the sense of accomplishment that comes with learning something new. The Central Florida YMCA aquatics programs include drowning prevention, infant-parent classes, preschool classes, classes for people with disabilities and classes for teens and adults. These include water exercise and therapy and water sports, including synchronized swimming and master competitive swimming for people 18 and over. Competitive programs are also available for youth.
Note: Aquatic Programs differ at each YMCA Family Center, so contact your local YMCA for more information on which aquatic programs are available.
|
| Safe Start | Drowning is the second leading cause of injury-related death for children ages 1 through 14 years. Florida is the second highest ranked in the nation for drowning-related deaths. The YMCA of Central Florida's Safe Start program is one of the most comprehensive drowning prevention programs in the United States. Safe Start Information |
| Seniors | The YMCA of Central Florida is for people of all ages, abilities and incomes. We count older adults as some of our most loyal members. At our family centers, older adults have a chance to keep active and grow in spirit, mind and body. New friends and new opportunities add joy to life, and the Y also gives seniors a chance to share their time and talents with others, such as children and teens.
Note: Senior programs differ at each YMCA Family Center, so contact your local YMCA for more information on which programs are available.
|
| Teen Programs | The YMCA of Central Florida serves more than 50,000 young people under age 18 each year by giving them a a safe place to call their own and a chance to connect with adults who care about them, and an opportunity to get involved in programs that help them grow. We offer Teen Leadership Programs and volunteer opportunities at the YMCA and in the community.
Note: Teen Programs differ at each YMCA Family Center, so contact your local YMCA for more information on which programs are available.
|
| Youth Sports | A mainstay of the YMCA of Central Florida offerings for young people, Y youth sports programs teach kids teamwork, cooperation and good sportsmanship. Youth sports include basketball and volleyball, baseball, softball, T-ball, soccer and progressive gymnastics. Other sports offerings range from traditional sports like tennis and football to such newer inventions as in-line rollerskate hockey and wallyball. Some YMCAs offer programs for people with disabilities and many offer options for adults, too.
Note: Youth Sports differ at each YMCA Family Center, so contact your local YMCA for more information on which Youth Sports are available.
