If you look close enough at our summer camp program, you can see a child’s future. At the YMCA, we provide all the fun summer activities under the sun and then some. Here, kids are taught the kind of values that makes them who they become: responsibility, respect, honesty caring and faith.

Our Summer Camps also make for Happy Families.

Now more than ever families need the Y summer camps. There’s a good feeling that comes with knowing your child is safe and thriving at the largest and most popular summer day camp in the country. What’s more, we’ve designed our program to fit the needs of today’s family dynamic. With hours from 7 :00 am to 6:00 pm,working families can feel good knowing their children are surrounded by dedicated people with strong values.

What makes Summer Camp Fun? The Place? Or the People?

At the YMCA of Central Florida, it’s all of the above. Our happy campers spend their days swimming, playing sports, character development, doing arts and crafts and going on field trips. There’s a camaraderie here that places a high value on friendship and teamwork. And that good feeling is a result of our camp counselors, better known as role models. At the Y, we understand that our counselors are responsible for the care and safety of your children. A responsibility we take seriously. Which is why we ensure our counselors are screened and properly trained. Without exception, each camp counselor is CPR trained and certified with 40 hours of onsite training. What’s more, we offer low staff to child ratios.

We’re Closer to You than Ever.

Why our Specialty Camps really are Quite Special.

Some kids are born to cook. Or swim or play soccer. At the Central Florida YMCA, we offer summer day camp that focus on learning a specific skill set. Our specialty camps are smaller than traditional day camp and taught by experts in the field. Extended Day Camp is available for all specialty camp participants. Locations

YMCA Camp Wewa opened in 1950, providing fun, safe, and rewarding camp experiences to campers and staff on the same site. Through adventure, discovery and friendship, YMCA Camp Wewa offers children from all over the state of Florida and beyond a camping experience with well-supervised safe programs, traditional camp activities, and adventure trips designed to build a strong foundation of spirit, mind and body.
