Space Coast Expedition: Adventure Maidens Program

The purpose of Y-Adventure Guide Programs, including the Space Coast Expedition of the Mother and Daughter Adventure Maidens, is to foster understanding and companionship between parent and child and to have lots of fun!

  • Our members are moms/guardians with daughter(s) between 5 and 11 years of age.

  • Mom and daughter circle meetings are usually held once a month at a member's home on a rotation.  Meetings are usually 1-1.5 hours, which includes a craft or an activity, member awards/recognitions, speaking opportunity, and a snack.

  • Each member chooses an Adventure nickname. What will yours be?

  • Both mother and daughter proudly display their patches and bright bead awards on a personal vest and leather necklace.

  • The overall Space Coast Expedition Y-Adventure Maiden Program is divided into 5 sections representing directions of the compass (Center, East, West, South, and North).  Activities are done at the child’s (Little Maiden’s) own pace, but programs are designed for both mother and daughter participation. The Circle does not require any program be completed.

  • All the local circles meet in larger groups for activities that vary from year to year.  Here are some examples: Campouts, picnics, Horseback Riding, Christmas Parades and many more!
